Adam Cooney joins us for one of the funnier shows of the year as we discuss the career of the only #1 draft pick to win a Brownlow medal in the AFL's history. Western Bulldogs took the talented 18-year-old from West Adelaide in 2003 who had a burst of speed and an eye for goal and would go on to play 250 games in the AFL including a short period at Essendon. Clayton Oliver joins the show for what is a rare interview and conversation. This episode I felt showcased a guy that has been one of the elite midfielders in the competition from his inception in the AFL and has experienced it all from the good, bad and indifferent. Clayton has had nine years in the competition and for six of those seasons he has averaged 30 disposals a game, won four best 'n' fairest awards at Melbourne, three All Australian selections and a Premiership across his tenure. In this episode we shine a light on Clayton being a human being dealing with extreme pressure's, his upbringing and his time in the AFL that no doubt has provided a generational midfield for the Melbourne footy club. We hope this interview shines a light on the person we don't always get to see via mainstream media. Through adversity I do admire Clayton for the fact he never gives up, works hard and gives his best for his footy club when fit and healthy.
