Description

On November 27 2020, I had an opportunity that I can describe as unique in my career as content creator, in which I was able to have an interview with the prestigious Cisco Press Author, Jeff Doyle.

The interview was a pleasant, fun, and interesting experience that leaves us with many teachings and lessons from a person with more than 40 years of professional career, who continues to this day developing, both as a consultant, and as the author of one of the most important books in the networking field and on IT in general, the “Routing TCP / IP volumes I & II”, considered by, candidates and certificated people, as "the bible of the CCIE".

We were able to talk a little about everything, his career, his early days, which led him to become a Cisco Press author, what methodology he followed to become one of the first CCIEs worldwide, what advice he gives to newer generations of network engineers regarding study techniques, what technologies should they pay attention to, including how to attack things like burnout, the impostor syndrome, and so on.

Unfortunately, I was attacked by a migraine since the recording began, and it worsened shortly after the interview was over, and in several parts of the video, my face did not reflect the true enthusiasm and excitement that I had, for having the privilege of talking with one of my professional heroes.

A humble person with a friendly character at all times, he behaved with me with courtesy and professionalism and made me feel very welcome from the get go.

I know you will find something valuable in this interview.

--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mario-salinas6/support
