<p>Multi award winning actor Jonathan Pryce has been working in Theatre, Film and Television for more than five decades. His work in theatre includes an award-winning Hamlet at the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Court_Theatre" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Royal Court </a>in 1980 and as The Engineer in <strong>Miss Saigon</strong> in London and New York. </p><br><p>He’s appeared in films as eclectic as <strong>Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies</strong>, <strong>Glengarry Glen Ross</strong> and <strong>The Age of Innocence. </strong>In 2019, he earned his first Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pope Francis</a> in the film <strong>The Two Popes. </strong></p><br><p>His television work includes <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Wolsey" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Thomas Wolsey</a> in <strong>Wolf Hall</strong>, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Sparrow" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">High Sparrow</a> in <strong>Game of Thrones</strong> and Prince Philip in the final two seasons of <strong>The Crown</strong>.</p><br><p>His breakthrough screen performance was in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Gilliam" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Terry Gilliam</a>'s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satire" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">satirical</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystopia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">dystopian</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_comedy" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">black comedy</a> <strong>Brazil</strong> and David was delighted he agreed to talk to him about that experience earlier this year. </p><br /><hr><p style='color:grey; font-size:0.75em;'> Hosted on Acast.
