<p>Dr. Judith Keilbach (she/her) is Associate Professor in the Media and Culture Studies Department at Utrecht University in The Netherlands. She received her Ph.D. in Film Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin. Her interests include media infrastructures, television history and theory, the relation of media technology and historiography. In 2023, Dr Keilbach was the spearhead of a published study in The Netherlands, called “<a href="https://www.uu.nl/en/news/how-to-make-the-dutch-film-industry-more-sustainable-best-practices-and-bottlenecks" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Towards sustainable film production in the Netherlands.</a>”&nbsp;The research by Dr. Keilbach and her team lead to wide discussion and an action plan at the Nederland Filmfonds.&nbsp;</p><br><p>In this episode, Dr. Keilbach tells us about her interest in the infrastructures that produce film and television.
