<p>Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech was born in Figueres, Spain in 1904. </p>
<p>He began painting at a young age, but after embracing the surreal, he would become one of the most famous artists of the 20th century, known simply as Salvador Dalí.</p>
<p>His bizarre paintings made him a global phenomenon, but his eccentric behavior and wild personality would leave an even stranger legacy long after his death.</p>
