Prophetic Voices: Preaching and Teaching Beloved Community

Canon Debbie Low-Skinner, a third-generation Chinese American living in Silicon Valley, canon to the ordinary in the Diocese of California, and a General Convention deputy. Her clergy career spans 27 years, serving in large and small churches in California, Long Island, and Massachusetts. She owns a tuxedo cat named Oreo, and loves jazz, ragtime, choral music, and Broadway musicals. Before becoming a priest, she was a systems engineer for Lockheed Martin for 24 years.   The Very Rev. She and her wife are foster parents, currently fostering a wee one. They have a small homestead, consisting of raised garden beds, a flock of hens, a hive of bees, a dog, and a cat.    The delightful Canon Myra Garnes, officer for youth ministries serving on the presiding bishop’s staff in the Department of Faith Formation. Canon Myra leads a ministry with young people grounded in principles of social justice and rooted in the gospel. She loves traveling with family and friends and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.  The Rev. Canon Lydia Bucklin, from Marquette, Michigan.
