|| ABOUT THIS MESSAGE || As we approach Easter Sunday, it’s important to reflect on what brought Jesus to the cross in the first place. As Pastor Jerry reminded us on Sunday, even as far back as Genesis 15, God made a covenant with Abraham that He would be faithful to him and his descendants. We broke the covenant through our sin time and time again, and yet, God still held up his end of the bargain. Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross was the ultimate fulfillment of that covenant, and because of that, we could be restored! This Cross Sunday was a powerful reminder of just how much that Jesus endured for you and for me.

Through conversation with Tyler Workman (co-founder of Okoa Refuge), we hear about his experiences of facing significant challenges and opposition while serving in Uganda. Despite these difficulties, Tyler emphasizes the importance of obedience to God and the joy found in pursuing His glory. Both Paul and Tyler exemplify a steadfast commitment to their divine missions, trusting in God's faithfulness and prioritizing obedience over personal comfort.

He reminded us that generosity is a natural response to God's generosity toward us, and that living with open hands, in all aspects of life — work, time, talents, and finances — helps advance the hope and love of Jesus.

Through the message, we're reminded to spend time in quiet reflection, ask ourselves hard questions, and seek community for accountability, reinforcing the idea that faith is an active pursuit.
