Yritys kasvoi nopeasti ja Barry päätti laajentaa ZZZZ Bestin toimintaa myös liiketilaremontteihin, joista tuli pian yrityksen merkittävin tulonlähde. Alle 20-vuotiaana Barry Minkow, jota mediassa kutsuttiin nimellä Wiz Kid, oli onnistunut siinä, mistä monet muut nuoret yrittäjät vain haaveilivat. Hän oli menestyvän pörssiyrityksen johtaja ja miljonääri.
