LT Patrick Bryce Ambida Gomez grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno and earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He was commissioned as Ensign in 2019 in the Navy Reserves via the Health Professions Scholarship Program and commissioned as Lieutenant upon earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2022.After Officer Development School in Newport, RI, LT Gomez reported to Naval Medicine and Readiness and Training Unit Norfolk, Norfolk, V A, where he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency from September 2022 to August 2023. He was then assigned to the USS Ronald Reagan from August 2023 to August 2025 where he served as Principal assistant and Division Officer of the Dental Department which was able to achieve a 99% operational dental readiness. LT Gomez also served as the Vice President of the Wardroom, leading 150 officers and coordinating 8 events andraising $5,000 for the Wardroom Association. Dr. Paul Subar passionately recounts his journey through life and dentistry, starting from his childhood filled with music to becoming a highly accomplished dentist. Subar's clinical responsibilities include delivery of dental services to patients requiring hospital dentistry as well as responding to consultation requests from the transplant and medicine services at California Pacific Medical Center. He has served on several key school committees including the Admissions committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Faculty Appointments and Tenure Committee, and is the chair of the Extramural Programs Committee.A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with baccalaureate degrees in both biochemistry and molecular biology, Subar earned his DDS from the University of California Los Angeles and completed his hospital training at the UCLA Medical Center. In 2009 he received his Doctorate in Education and Professional Leadership from University of the Pacific's Benerd School of Education. Subar's background includes serving as a dental director of a Federally Qualified Health Center and as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service.Subar received the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Faculty Award three years in a row and was the first award recipient of the California Dental Association's annual Arthur A. Dugoni Faculty Award. Dr. Gary Roberts has performed hospital dentistry and surgery at Stanford University Medical Center and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital since 1995. He is also on the faculty at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He treats a variety of oral and maxillofacial conditions, and all aspects of general dentistry, specially dental trauma and infection, dental implant and restorative reconstruction, conventional and surgical endodontic procedures, dental oncology care of cancer patients, as well as orofacial pain treatment. He has presented CME lectures and Grand Rounds to numerous Departments at Stanford, as well as teaching Residents and Fellows at Stanford Medical School and the Palo Alto VA. During his nearly a quarter of a century of military service, he was one of the leading researchers on combat trauma and the pathophysiology of projectile wounds.
