A big thank you to Steen for coming on the podcast. I really appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to chat about his journey and thoughts around running an art business.
About Steen Jones:
Steen Jones is an Australian based artist that lives and breathes his work.
Classic and bold designs heavily inspired by the industry he devoted his adolescence to.
His highly sought after tattoo-influenced style and go-getter attitude inspire creativity and confidence in his clients and admiration among his peers while he blurs the lines between the tattoo, commercial and fine art worlds and continues to challenge the status and daring to be great.
Steen's iconic work can be found all over the world, from 13 story murals in Melbourne to 12 car underground garages in private residences in Brisbane, to the streets of New York City, houses in Berlin and shopfronts in London to billboards on the world famous Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and even covering one of Pablo Escobar abandoned mansions in Columbia.
His work has been featured on some of the world’s largest platforms including Ellen Show, UFC, NCIS, F1, Moto GP and Aus Open and shared by some of the biggest musicians, sport-stars and celebrities of today with Dua Lipa, Venus Williams, Alexander Volkanovski and Wiz Khalifa to name a few.
His forever-growing and impressive list of top tier collaborations and clientele include Coach, Lego, Qantas, Delta, Rolling Stone Magazine, Grey Goose Vodka, Patron and Jack Daniels.
As a firm believer of “The Harder You Work, The Luckier You Get” and an endless supply of inspiration and motivation, Steen has no interest in slowing down - infact, the polar opposite as he marks his 10th year as a freelance artist.
