Tales from Auburn Creek

This is Kevin Rader. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone described as a person of few words. That is rare thing these days. Usually everyone has something to say and now have an internet podium to say it. But what happens when both of those worlds collide. That is what I found recently and I have to say it was an interesting albeit brief exchange. I found it so interesting that I decided to share it as the first installment, as we mark the beginning of our third season, of the Tales from Auburn Creek. It’s entitled “The Locals."

For years I was told you just need to move on, put it all behind you. Now after sharing so much of my childhood I feel like I finally can. It is not an easy story to tell. It was even more trying to live through but now it will finally come to an end. With the 26th episode from The Tales from Auburn Creek I will have put it all out there, not for personal gain but hopefully to benefit of all of you who took the time to listen. I always knew when this project began how it would end. “The Moment” is still as vivid to me 50 years later as it was the day it took place. If there was one time, one moment I could point to where the past intersected with the future it was here. So now I will share that moment with you in the 26th installment of The Tales from Auburn Creek entitled “The Moment.”

[by Kevin Rader] He was the kind of teacher you would always hope your children would have. I never realized how fortunate I was until my later years. Looking back he served his country and his students well which ai hope to capture in my latest installment of The Tales from Auburn Creek entitled “Reform the Rows.”

This is Kevin Rader and welcome to The Tales from Auburn Creek. I know a lot of time has passed since our last installment. A lot of life has passed since then as well. I wanted to take some time to do other things and most importantly I didn't want my writings to be forced. I needed the stories to continue to write themselves. It seems that enough time has passed for me to start the final stretch of this series. With that said we start out with a Tales from Auburn Creek Bonus Episode. It involves America's Sport which used to mean baseball. I will explain in this TAC Extra entitled America's Sport.
