First off, thank-you for listening and the continued support, it means a great deal to me that you all are helping to increase awareness and remove the stigma that is attached to mental health. Now more than ever we need to all come together as a community and support each other, by doing so we can normalize mental health struggles and enable those suffering to seek the help that they need without fear of judgement. Today's solo episode dives into the topic of anxiety, my experience with it, and some tips on how i manage it. Similar to depression, anxiety is a very relatable subject when it comes to mental health and i wanted to share my story and things that i have learnt which help me combat it to hopefully help those of you who are also dealing with it. It began to be something i dealt with during my university career, but because i knew nothing about it or want to come to terms with the fact that i could have it, i never dealt with it and allowed it to progress with the decisions i made. Eventually after it began to dictate my behaviours, actions, thoughts, relationships, and basically every aspect of my life, i decided i needed to get help to deal with it. I share the things i did to begin this process, and how they helped me to get my anxiety in control to a point where it became manageable. I truly hope that this episode helps those of you that are in a similar situation and can relate deal with your anxiety and get yourself to a point where it is not dictating your life. Thank-you once again for listening, please share the episode and podcast with anyone you can and as always, take care of yourselves !
