Most people don't know real estate, it is a field of everything you could imagine and getting bigger everyday. How, where and why are important to our future. Talk to people and learn about your personal real estate needs. Real estate has so many different faces a conversation could be unrecognizable to professionals from a different area. Whenever you talk about real estate, it is about a large area like residential/homes, or commercial/business space of some type. That is just the beginning. Retail real estate is what many of us use everyday, and Anthony is in retail. Pay attention, because retail is very important to our local economy, and we have had many significant issues in our nation and our city of Chicago. Real estate is at the center of most of it.After you listen to Anthony, you will believe retail is back and understand how that is good for you and your area. Not only does that pay taxes to your area, it creates jobs and experiences that form larger and better communities. Retail has a place in Americana, it is how we shop and interact for our needs and desires daily. It has become more complex, and options are everywhere. Where is the answer everyone is looking for, that is the big question. It is all on the table to work out and Anthony is working at it every day. It is hopeful that we can work together as we encounter our future. Business is important and real estate is big business. We are both Italian Americans. Personally I feel Anthony has a very interesting education which includes international study.  Anthony has great things to say about his Milan University and Italian experience that show in who he is as an Italian American. He is proud of his heritage and way more studious than I am, but equally excited which is most important. Who you are is part of the sales process for Legends, it is their personal “how” that drives them and Anthony is no exception. He sees himself as a problem solver and part of his deals, not just what some think is an agent. In the competitive business of real estate with volatile cycles and risk, deals are closed by roles and processes but led by individual people. It is the best way for longevity as well as just plain old survival.Timing is key, and it was all bad for a while with Covid and the economy.  All the empty storefronts tell that story, and now it is time for a new chapter with life breathed back into the local businesses. That is happening now, and usually that means it is a new cycle of growth and that is what real estate can do for an area and community. With all the tools and tech today, you hear and see the need and power of connection. Both in our conversation and in both of our many conversations daily, yes we all need to talk to people to get things accomplished. I loved when Anthony said his phone is out of juice by noon everyday. NOT TEXTING. Try it, and enjoy the thrill of doing something good locally. Reach out to a caring pro and person for assistance. Every time you shop locally, you help the area. Local people make it all work for you in their business. Anthony gets them a place to serve you. Canvas Real Estate

Real estate is local for most of my career, and building relationships has been the true joy of doing this podcast. It is another way to see a person and who they are more than just to the eye. This episode of Legends is all of that. close to home and Chicago is my home. Mitch is a Chicagoan too. We both are fans of the White Sox and go to games together, and through all of this we have done business for years. As we shoot the episode, it turns out Mitch bought his first property from my Legends podcast producer, Joe Quartana who was in my ReMax office at the time. We kept the moment in as we all know the world is getting smaller. People make it fun and there are so many stories in real estate. As Mitch starts his story in Bucktown, we hear how he took to real estate. Opportunity! It is like a lot of pros, he saw a property and called the number. Mitch tells you directly how he has done types of deals and what they started and ended up. This can be small to gargantuan, and sometimes its the smallest detail that produces the largest return. People are that way, and Mitch deals well with people with his attitude and disposition. From dealing iwth tneant to creating deals in real estate, attitude is your best frined or worst enemy.Attitude can be tricky, it can show up in a phone call or message and create a whole new arc, good and bad. In real estate, many different pieces or portions of this “industry” are full of idiosyncrasies in the actual method and ways; far from the general bs on the internet. From needing a lightbulb to getting a great deal, showing up makes a difference. Then, how you show up can create the deal. This is not a “trick”, showing up is the key to life in real estate excellence.Once you have your foundation and formula, you have to do the day to day work, which is never ending and not really glamorous, it is a personal service for housing done well. If you have been in the people business, you know how hard that can be. Mitch has done it well and has pride in how the properties are managed, and shares these simple instructions for listeners. As difficult as real estate can be, Mitch is relaxed and keeps his eye on the ball every day. Legends do the work first, it shows later like Mitch. Aljack Investments

Joe Smazal
If you listen to the end, you will hear what a Legend really is, humble and hard working everyday. Here is an accomplished professional who has gratitude and his feet on the ground. I truly forgot his age while we talked. His youth is countered by his old soul, and that is who Joe is as a person. He shares his perspective and how he grew into who he is today. Like many, it did not start in real estate. Joe opens up and gives you a thoughtful story and discussion on his real estate life as a pro and a person.Making deals with people and businesses is the core of his real estate practice. Like others who did well in real estate, he took a firm path to learn and work the opportunity. His nature is going the extra mile to win, but I also hear more when he talks about the bigger picture. With his wife, investing in property is personal and Joe shares this in a helpful and down to earth way. Not understanding the real estate business is the surest way to lose your money if you do not get help. Joe explains that well and it is needed today.Joe has the new skill set for tomorrow housed in today’s market. He communicates well, and is willing to go the extra mile. He has his own podcast to use as a tool for his voice, yet he is open to being here with me and sharing. That is a mindset that is very healthy and very hard to find today. Joe understands how we need to work together or perish, and that we ALL need to live somewhere so real estate is very community focused to him, not just deals. It is both comforting and reassuring talking to Joe about ethics and integrity. The challenges and answers a top professional deals with over time. Sales is often misunderstood as trickery and deceptive practices as the norm, but it is not truly. Yes, people use trickery in real estate as in every profession, but a pro and legend does not. Where lesser take the shortcut, Legends do the work and invest their time. The high road. The new age of content is upon us, and Joe has a podcast of his own, Real Estate Chicago Style . And yet he shares his time with me on Legends. Might seem small to you, but sharing time is one of the most expensive and personal commitments we make. Joe commits to covering Chicago and the real estate community from his own viewpoint. Interra Realy

Gabe and Greg Viti in Miramar This is a very special time and episode for me. My cousin Gabe is a phenomenal human being and I have wanted to get him on the podcast since I started. He’s busy, like always, but this time he was on a fantastic voyage for months through the icy north straits of the arctic. If it wasn’t Gabe, I don’t know if I would believe him or think he was telling tales. Not Gabe, he walks the walk and commits to excellence in every endeavor. He prepared for years to do this, this adventure. That is what makes all the Legends who they are, they are committed to excellence. Gabe is that guy, and not just in the kitchen. Although that was his first destination and goal.We are at his place, Miramar. It is a bite of Gabe in all arenas. Its home and family, its a real estate play not easily seen, and the restaurant is a bistro that could be anywhere in the world. That is no accident. It has the feel, the food and the look. His hospitality is world class, Details everywhere, done well. This was the site of a drugstore and a few storefronts before Gabriel created the deal. When we just talk real estate, he has done several successful concepts and properties that have created community icons like Miramar and Gabriels on the North Shore for years. You probably would not believe all the accomplishments my cousin has had in his life, and why he is The Adventure Chef. Oceans and mountains are part of the stories, but just part. In the interview, his message to everyone is you can. He believes it and shows you how in his ventures. Personally and professionally he goes at it full bore. His focus is from passion, and if he has lost a step someone has to show me. My cousin Gabe talks about other people. He got to where he is with work and help from others who had similar approaches to life. His can do attitude always includes great people in his adventures and projects. One of the biggest accomplishments in any business is how you last over time, but especially in the restaurant business. Today after all the years he stands tall and well regarded by all. I am proud of him as a man.Go to Miramar, see for yourself and have a great meal. Know Gabe appreciates your business and you will be treated well. Experience the commitment and thoughtfulness of a top professional, Gabriel Viti.. Miramar Bistro
