The Ringer

Immediately after watching Dricus Du Plessis submit Israel Adesanya in the fourth round of their UFC middleweight title fight, The Ringer’s Petesy Carroll, Chuck Mindenhall, and Troy Farkas react to a memorable morning in Perth, Western Australia, at UFC 305. The guys discuss how DDP wrestled the victory away from Adesanya, the mental warfare DDP engaged Adesanya in throughout the week, how each fighter conducted himself after the fight, and what could lay ahead for both DDP and Adesanya. Then, they debate whether Kai Kara-France’s first-round TKO of Steve Erceg earned the New Zealand native a flyweight title shot against Alexandre Pantoja. After that, they talk about Dan Hooker’s CRAZY win over Mateusz Gamrot, how far Hooker has come since UFC London in 2022, and whether Hooker vs. Conor McGregor makes sense.
To round out the program, the guys talk about some of the controversial moments from the evening. They also answer some Discord questions about the UFC going to Africa and whether Du Plessis could ever find himself locked in the Octagon with Alex Pereira.
