HERE WE ARE AGAIN bringing some FLAVOUR to your FRIDAY! Today we interviewed an absolute legend of a man - Sebastian Terry! If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Jess talks about him constantly on the podcast!

Sebastian is the author of ‘100 things: What’s on your list?’ where he designed his entire life around his bucket list goals. After reading this book (which is only 1/5 of the only books Jess has ever read haha), she became SUPER inspired and created her own bucket list adventure. One thing led to another and it’s what led to the creation of Keep Your Gin Up (long story short - but we dive into the story in the episode)!

This week we are interviewing Jenelle Pierce, Executive Director of the STI Project, spokesperson for the Positive Singles dating app and a Certified Sexuality Educator. Jenelle has a wealth of knowledge around the topic of STIs and has made it her mission to de-stigmatise STIs and provide adequate and effective education around sexual health. Having been diagnosed with herpes herself at a young age, she has insight into the struggles and challenges associated with lifelong STIs. In this ep we discuss the struggles of life we all have, including navigating the dating world, having open conversations and being vulnerable and the effect that throwing anything else difficult into the mix, can have on your sense of self. Every single person can gain something from this interview and the information Jenelle shares with us can be used in all our lives to create a more understanding, less judgmental and more accepting world for all of us to flourish and grow. We place so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect, when in reality, none of us are. Sharing vulnerability is power and will unlock so much more from your life that you ever thought possible.

We discuss in depth what it is like living with herpes, navigating the dating world with herpes, having those vulnerable conversations and also the interaction herpes has with pregnancy (or does it even have an interaction?!).

Remember: We are ALL worthy of being and feeling sexual. We are ALL worthy of love, connection and intimacy. We are ALL worthy of happiness and acceptance and belonging. Try and switch the mindset from “do they like me?” …. To “DO YOU LIKE THEM?!”
