<p>The Battles of Alberta are underway in both the political and hockey arenas. Calgary Stampede's midway menu is a smorgasbord of mouth-watering and stomach-turning treats. We consider recent examples of government misinformation and the erosion of trust in foundational institutes. We close with a review of the original King Kong (1933) thinking aloud about the virtue of chivalry in men and beauty in women.</p>
