May Britt Valand, a former professional cyclist from Norway who spent some time in the valley helping teach and guide our local youth into cycling.

From the slumps of reading to owning his own bike shop and creating a professional cycling team and finding happiness in Canada, Ryan DeWald is an example of what cycling can do for a young person growing up in a rough environment.

Les Barczewski came out of the powerhouse speed skating community of Wisconsin to excel in track sprinting on the velodrome, qualifying as a member of the 1980 Olympic Team and winning silver in the match sprint at the 1983 Pan American Games.

Co-creator and promoter of high-profile cycling events like the USPRO Championships in Philadelphia and similar events in New York City and San Francisco. T-town’s first announcer and first program coordinator, putting T-town on the world map of track cycling by bringing in stars like Eddy Merckx, Patrick Sercu and Danny Clark, Dave has been and is a big influencer of our cycling community.
