What do you do when you are called to serve others? In this episode Dawn and I talk about her experiences as a public servant and how to follow the money to really get the entire picture of how funds are being used within the schools and your district. For over 25 years, Dawn has worked with Fortune 500s, startups, and nonprofits in various sectors including education, workforce development, government, life science, healthcare, and IT/technology. She is already very involved serving our local community and explains how she got started at a young age to make a difference. Dawn has felt called to publicly serve and currently is part of the Lugar Series, which gives Republican women a backstage pass to see how policies are made at the state level. Dawn has met with lobbyists and local representatives to get the entire picture of how legislation works so she can better serve her community. Dawn currently serves as a Member, City of Fishers Plan Commission, Fishers Housing Task Force 2021-22, Vice Precinct Committeeman, Fall Creek 11GOP State Convention Delegate – Candidate 2022, Civic Leadership Engagement Roadmap Program with The Policy Circle - Spring 2022 cohort, Board Member, Richard Lugar Excellence in Public Service Leadership Series – 2021-2022 Class, Member, Hamilton County Republican Women, Member, Indiana Federation of Republican Women, Member, Women & Hi Tech, and the Executive Advisory Board member for the Indiana Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’sAssociation. I am very inspired by Dawn and hope she inspires many others to get more involved so we can make positive changes for our children.
