<p>Welcome to Pocket-Sized Podcasting, brought to you by Alitu: The Podcast Maker. And on this episode, we’re talking about posting video versions of your episodes. Post-pandemic, people are a lot more familiar with talking on video these days. In the past, it was almost assumed that a podcast recording would be audio-only. But now, you’ll find that a lot of guests turn up almost expecting the video to be recorded, too. If you and your guest are comfortable with it, then it makes total sense to record video as well as audio. You can upload these videos to YouTube, which is the second biggest search engine in the world. You don’t even have to post the full episodes as videos, either. You can pick out one of two short clips to publish as micro-content, which makes them more searchable, and act as great teaser samples for the full show. Having a video component to your podcast can go a long way towards expanding your reach and growing your audience.
