Welcome Lt. Randy Sutton to The Mark Howley Show! "The Voice of American Law Enforcement," Lt. Randy Sutton is a 34-year law enforcement veteran and nationally known media commentator on law enforcement issues. This is an extra powerful episode discussing Sutton's recent 2024 talk at the Republican National Convention (we will share the link below), his noble non profit "The Wounded Blue" and the moment that changed Randy's life forever. Sutton was not on duty when he happened to be driving by a street where a drive by shooting took place. When he arrived at the scene, he heard a scream that "the baby had been shot!" As he approached, he witnessed a one month old child shot in the face. Without hesitation he began emergency services on her while ambulances came to the scene. This intervention saved her life--they contiue to have a relationship today-- and changed Sutton's entire life mission from this point forward. He shares his own experience of police brutality, metal health issues and physical injuries sustained on duty that were not acknowledged by his department which led him to found The Wounded Blue.
