Sermon Series: Helping People Find and Follow Jesus Our guest speaker, Kris Konig, spoke about the importance of mentor relationships in the church. "The mentorship relationship is the surest 'ship' for discipleship." Jesus modelled mentoring with His disciples during His ministry on earth. Scripture commands older men to be an example to younger men and older women to teach younger women. It's impossible to mass produce disciples of Christ - they are made one at a time in the context of relationship.
