Tom Meets Interesting People delves deep into the projects and processes of anyone from voice actors to nuclear engineers. Each week, I will interview a different interesting person and help them share their story, discuss the challenges they have faced along the way, and look at the tools and techniques they have used to do what they do. In the process, I aim to help you understand what they do and why they do it.I aim to interview guests with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. So far, I have met AI creators, hostages negotiators, and Twitch streamers. Each interview ends with a questionnaire, and in that, my guest only gets one swear word with Tom.New episodes every Tuesday!Check out our social media:Twitter:https://twitter.com/tommeetspeopleInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/tommeetspeople/TikTok:https://www.tiktok.com/@meetsinterestingpeopleLinktree:https://linktr.ee/tommeetsinterestingpeopleWatch the podcast on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNvrfAfgj2hzSDVWTEJjD6ALEAVE A REVIEW ON GOODPODS:https://www.goodpods.com/podcasts/213696

The director who will be the first to die in a horror movie | Kris Bell | TMIP | Interview 32

Kris Bell is that guy who ignores the signs with the creepy warnings and carries on past only to meet a gruesome end and be the first in the horror movie to die.

In this episode we talk about how to film a movie in a cave, the trust that you must have in your crew and paying fair wages for your actors. Obviously the SAG/WGA strikes are a big topic right now and I'm glad to able to give my support in all of this.

I've brought Matt Bliss on board to help me edit this and some of my upcoming episode. He's fecking epic. If you're interested in a professional Podcast Engineer for your audio or video podcast, get in touch with him at https://www.matthewbliss.net or directly by email at [email protected]."

Synopsis: In the dark underbelly of a seemingly peaceful mountainous landscape lies an abandoned cave, whispered about in hushed tones among the most adventurous thrill-seekers. What once was a refuge for ancient ritualists, opened to the public as a tourist destination in 1912 before quickly being shut down after a series of accidents, it now stands as a forgotten relic of the past, saturated with untold secrets and unspeakable horrors.

Led by the intrepid and enigmatic explorers, Jordan, Beau, and Gray, our team of urban adventurers sets out to unravel the mysteries lurking within the shadows. As they delve deeper into the eerie caverns, they unwittingly awaken an ancient malevolence, a primordial force that thrives on fear and chaos.

Now, with their lives hanging by a thread, the team must confront their darkest fears and confront the unfathomable terror that threatens not only their existence but the very fabric of reality itself. Armed with only their wits, resilience, and the bond forged in the face of unimaginable terror, they must find a way to survive What Dwells Beneath

The band who combine metal with swing | Shoo Bee Doom | TMIP | Interview 30

Tell me something... Swing and metal, they shouldn't go together, right? Shoo Bee Doom would disagree with you. In this episode, we talk about why this combo works so well, how they met as a band, and how their different creative processes work together to make Shoo Bee Doom the most epic swing metal ever.

We also deep dive into their music. I love these kinds of episodes because I learn so much. Music is more than just things that sound nice. There is a meaning and a message behind every lyric and every instrument, from the most fun songs through to the most depressing and melancholy songs.

About Shoo Bee Doom

Shoo Bee Doom is more than just a band. We're a group of musicians on a mission to bring swing and metal together in a way that no one has ever seen before. As we write the songs, we pour our hearts and souls into every performance, fusing our passions to create a truly unforgettable experience. Shoo Bee Doom started their journey as a couple's activity of the singer and the guitarist (who are married) and progressed to be an actual band with the extra help of the keyboardist. They started the band in 2022 and are focusing on mental health, self-development, inner self, and self-discovery topics. All of the band members are coming mainly from the metal world originally but recently discovered the charm of electro swing and this is where the inspiration for creating a band that combines the upbeat sound of electro swing together with the power of metal comes from.
