<p><em>[Season 4, Episode 8]</em></p><p>For over three and a half years, we've been instructing you about biblical historicity and chronology, from many angles. Today we want to show you just how effective all this knowledge is in the "real world."</p><p>The YouTube channel "Holy Koolaid" gleefully wreaks havoc with problematic issues facing Old Testament historicity. It was created by Thomas Westbrook (missionary kid turned evangelistic scoffer) whose channel boasts 391K subscribers. His popular series "Nothing Fails Like Bible History" sets out to skillfully and swiftly debunk the faith of as many Christians as possible.</p><p>On this episode, we set out to correct the claims put forth by Thomas Westbrook, demonstrating how quickly his house of cards tumbles once a few basic corrections are made and a few key things are properly understood. What a marvelous application of the data-rich apologetic that we present. <p><em>[Season 4, Episode 7]</em></p><p>For new ideas to move forward, a society must have free speech. In addition, societies today have systems for new ideas (scientific research) to be presented and evaluated. But what happens when those well-established systems become corrupted—when they actually stand in the way of truth and advancement? This is now happening in our country's academic institutions, and many are completely unaware.</p><p>"Publish or perish" and peer review have become roadblocks to truth and progress. Some scientists have seen their lives and reputations destroyed through the corrupted system. Others learn to jump through the hoops and work the system to accomplish their personal career goals.</p><p>Yet others decide to leave the mainstream altogether in order to avoid a career spent trying to satisfy the system. Being outside the mainstream (and therefore self-published) has its own set of problems, but it does allow meaningful research to take place and the unadulterated, undiluted results to be published, albeit to a limited audience. <p>Last year, Hugh Ross (<a target="”_blank”" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://reasons.org/">Reasons to Believe</a>) replied to a comment we left on X (formerly Twitter). Our comment asked if he had seen some aspects of Dr. Aardsma's work. Ross replied, "I have just completed a book on Noah's Flood and have responded to Aardsma's claims."</p><p>The book Ross referenced became available in October. This month we critique <em>Noah's Flood Revisited (new depths of insight from science and Scripture)</em>.</p><p>We discuss several aspects of this new book by an old-earth creationist, pointing out where it falls critically short—false fronts, fuzzy facts, failing to follow through, and an ultimate fatal flaw. This is important because, as Christians, we must be actively advancing the cause of truth, not just giving some reasons to hold to our faith. <p>The proper <a target="”_blank”" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://biblicalchronologist.myshopify.com/products/noahs-flood-happened-3520-b-c">date for Noah's Flood, based on extensive evidence, is 3520 B.C.</a> With this anchor point established, we can then begin to investigate questions surrounding the Flood, and we can get real, concrete, fascinating answers from various branches of science, including archaeology.</p><p>Today, we delve into one such question. Who were the people who perished in Noah's Flood?</p><p>In Matthew 24, Jesus says: "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand <em>until the flood came and took them all away</em>, so will the coming of the Son of Man be."</p><p>Another version says "until the flood came and <em>swept</em> them all away." Who were these people groups, these civilizations who were swept away in Noah's Flood? What can we know about them?</p><p>We investigate the lives and cultures of specific ancient people groups in south Mesopotamia, in Palestine, in Greece, in Ireland, and North America. Evidence strongly supports the hypothesis that all of these civilizations perished in the Flood, at the date of circa 3520 B.C., causing a major well-known cultural break across continents in the centuries following Noah's Flood.</p><p><em>"Historians see circa. 3300-3000 B.C. as one of the most dramatic turning points in human pre-history. Multiple major civilizations across the world underwent sudden cultural breaks—urbanization, writing, political unification, collapse of older cultures, migration waves, and technological milestones."</em> -Chat GPT</p><p>Nowhere else will you hear this specific, detailed information. Other Bible-believing groups have not been able to pin a functional date on Noah's Flood, and this stops them from knowing much of anything about the Flood, outside of what the Bible says. We are blessed to be able to tie secular history together with biblical history with the strong foundation of proper chronology. <p><em>[Season 4, Episode 4]</em></p><p>After his <a target="”_blank”" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.biblicalchronologist.org/store/learn_more.php">initial discovery of the anti-aging vitamins</a>, Dr. Aardsma made contact with the United States FDA, attempting to follow the applicable guidelines before bringing his new product to market in 2017. The interactions between Dr. Aardsma and the FDA at that time ended up being frustrating and unproductive. "Two new vitamins" appear to be uncharted territory for the FDA.</p><p>After five years of subsequent silence, the FDA contacted Dr. Aardsma this past summer. (Why now, after five years of silence? We have some ideas.)</p><p>Learn what the FDA communicated to us this summer, where things stand now, and what the future might hold, on today's podcast episode.</p><p>We find ourselves blazing a trail of sorts with the discovery of these two new vitamins, rooted in Bible/science research.
