<p>Unsilenced: Voices of Young Tibetans is a podcast series where we have conversations with young Tibetans who will offer an interesting view of their lives as exiled Tibetans and their future aspiration. The podcast is also a tribute to all those brave Tibetans in Tibet who were silenced both physically and mentally by the Chinese occupiers.</p><p>In this episode, we engage with Choekyi Lhamo la, who currently is a Tibetan exile journalist and was a recipient of the prestigious Tibetan Scholarship Program (TSP) in 2023, studying journalism at UC Berkeley. She has written, interviewed and reported extensively on the exile Tibetan community particularly during her time as a reporter at Phayul Media.</p><p>In this podcast, Choekyi Lhamo shares her experience of what drew her into journalism and her experience growing up in the Tibetan Settlement of Dhondupling commonly known as Clement Town among Tibetans. She further shed lights on her experience in studying at UC Berkeley and the plethora of things she learnt from American community there. She shares with us what her aspirations are moving forward and the Tibetan Sweater selling community, where she will be heading to support her family.</p>
