Panic set in.</p><p>Kelly went out searching immediately, walking the route to the school, checking the streets, calling her name—hoping she would find her daughter nearby. But there was no sign of her.</p><p>As the hours passed, police were called, and what began as a missing child search quickly escalated. Officers and more than 600 volunteers combed through Napier, searching streets, alleyways, and open land, desperately hoping Teresa would be found safe.</p><p>But she wasn’t. Not that day.
