Bede Vs. The Living Dead

Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. Unlike the main episodes of the show that only focus on all things related and linked to Night Of The Living Dead, these bonus ones will have your host Bede Jermyn explore other random zombie films (from both the famous to the obscure) that were made in the aftermath of George A. Romero's 1968 classic masterpiece.While there have been many zombie films made since the sub-genre was revived in the early 2000s, it's safe to say that realistically that only a few of them have been considered by horror fans as modern classics. One film in particular that fits the bill, is one that came out of nowhere from South Korea in 2016 and instantly herald as one of best horror films of the 21st century: Train to Busan, which was the first live-action directorional debut from animation director Yeon Sang-ho. Knowing that the film is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Bede thought it was the perfect time to tackle the film. Joining him to discuss this fan-favourite South Korean horror film are returning guests Super Marcey (Bede's co-host on the many podcasts on ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠The Super Network⁠) and Roger Conners (co-host of ⁠Dark Night Of The Podcast⁠ and the writer/director/star of the 2021 Night Of The Living Dead remake Rebirth and the upcoming slasher film Meat).
