As some know RRR started this Indian cinema journey for us--it's time we finally paid our dues to watch part 1 of director S.S. Rajamouli's precursor to RRR--Baahubali: The Beginning. This is a historical/fantasy epic that follows Svidu, a normal villager with superhuman strength, and his journey in discovering the secrets of his past and how it could restore order to a tyrannical government running the land's largest kingdom.

There's no such thing as too much Amir Khan hence why we're covering another one of his highly suggested films. Taare Zameen Par (2007) follows the story a young boy suffering social and domestic ridicule and bullying due to his dyslexia. When he is sent to boarding school a noble art teacher attempts to set him on a brighter path by revealing his inner potential to everyone and himself.

Yes, we caught Barbenheimer this weekend--watch the Barbie half of our review where there were some surprisingly varied perspectives on the film! And make sure to catch our follow-up review on Oppenheimer to see which movie we thought was better. Barbie sees the iconic Mattel doll come to life through Margot Robbie on the big screen. When the perfect life in Barbieland is disrupted by unusual happenstances, Barbie must travel to the "Real World" where finding her real life playmate may be the key to set things back to normal.

Finally we cover a Tamil-language Indian movie--Super Deluxe! And, boy, the title couldn't have been more appropriate for this heavy, heavy movie. Super Deluxe follows the stories of 4 groups of people in single day-- an absent father trying to reunite with his son, a dysfunctional couple in an arranged marriage, a young man trying to come to terms with his mother's secret, and 4 horny boys just trying to watch a porno--and the unpredictable occurrences that pushes their beliefs, choices, and general way of living to the test.

Tom Cruise does it again.... with Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1. The 7th installment in the Mission franchise sees Ethan Hunt up his greatest foe yet. We give our thoughts on the new action film and explain why its still not better than Fallout but it comes very close!
