Episode 146: Invoke David Fisher!
DCC RPG codified supernatural patrons as something in between a game mechanic and narrative device. The notion was fresh, novel, and perfectly aligned to the game’s focus on Appendix N. Patrons are so good that the concept has worked its way into other RPGs.  The cast of patrons and gods facilitates a table’s worldbuilding. This unique quality as pieces on the chessboard of the Moorcockian eternal struggle means that the more pieces you have to play with the better. way back in 2013, Daniel Bishop, Paul Wolfe, David Fisher, and Sean Connors collaborated to publish DCC RPG’s first patron supplement, Angels, Daemons & Beings Between.  Of course everyone recognizes Daniel and Paul, but David Fisher was the primary artist on the project and eventually took over as its main publisher. Under the name of Shinobi 27 games he has published a ton of other stuff and has an upcoming project which we will talk about on this month’s Spellburn!     Angels, Daemons and Beings Between, Vol 3 – KS promo!
