BIBLE 101 = Foundational BeliefsDo you think we’re at end time? Cause I don’t believe we are. I know scripture says people will flip good for bad and vice versa and natural disasters and children disobeying their parents like my grandfather told me about all this but I don’t believe that’s now. There’s still a lot of “ good”. Like I don’t see all that stuff happening as much, like yes it’s happening but what do you think? - BriWhat is the historical significance of changing a name in the Bible: Abram to Abraham, Saul to Paul, Simon the Peter - etc Maddo & Why did or who gave Saul of Tarsus the name Paul? - JoeI just finished reading most of the New Testament and I am a little bit confused. No where did the New Testament command Christians to tithe 10 percent; instead, it emphasizes generous, voluntary giving according to one's means. While Jesus mentioned the Pharisees' tithing under the Old Covenant, the New Testament's call for giving is based on cheerful, sacrificial, and proportional giving, not a legalistic 10% rule. New Testament passages like 1 Corinthians 16:2 and 2 Corinthians 8:3 encourage giving "as he may prosper" and "according to their means," allowing for amounts both more and less than 10%. So why is it always said that we “must” give 10% of it referring to the old covenant law? - AnonymousSALVATION:I recently read that if you are not saved, you cannot call God (Father) when you pray. What is your opinion on this !!! - Rudy I watched online & was wondering why you were referring to greatest conversions and not salvations? - Terrence ASK ADAM Anything… questions > PART 2LEADERSHIP:What is the best way to go about finding yourself a mentor? >> What was the first word ever spoken? - Nessy>> Are there some holy ones who go around, observe humans and pass judgements or decrees. The way it’s written it cannot be God else I would have expected it to be written as ‘Holy One’ instead of ‘holy one’. Neither does it sound like an Angel. Who is this ‘watcher’ , ‘holy one’ mentioned in Daniel 4:13 and again in 23. - Ps Isaac>> In Daniel 4:8 we see that Daniel comes before the king the last to interpret the dream. The preceding 2 verses says the other wise men came before the king and verse 4 says Daniel came before the king last. Since the Bible spends 3 verses defining the oder in which Daniel came before the king, it got me thinking.. Seeing how Daniel proved himself in Chap 2, should he not been called in first?Since it uses the word "came in" does it mean there were other people deciding the order of who goes before the king. Like there will be a team in White House who decide the President's Schedule to the minute. Maybe there was jealously involved in King’s palace that they pushed Daniel to the last. Or the king thought since he tells the dream this time, his own people can solve the problem instead of Daniel who worships a diff God. - Pastor Isaac>> What a joy it was to be in the service today to not only see a couple of dozen people baptized, but to hear your anointed sermon on baptism. I particularly love the quote from Vern Owens, “water baptism is the gate that opens everything else.” Here’s my question: why did the Jews come for baptism by John the Baptist? What was the meaning of it to them? Was baptism something that was customary in the Jewish faith at that time? I don’t find any reference to water baptism in the Old Testament and would like to have a fuller understanding of Christian baptism. - Paul Mayes Sent from my iPhone>> With recent discoveries in and along the Galilee are there new things that could be found that relate back directly to the life of Jesus?? - From Rica>> When God spoke to Adam in Genesis what language was used? - From Carmen>> When the Bible talks about Jesus being led into the wilderness - do you believe this wilderness was a literal dry barren desert type wilderness? Or could he have been just sent out from God’s people to the lost and unsaved? the “wilderness”? I’m assuming when the Bible talks about John being a voice crying out in the wilderness, it isn’t literal otherwise what would be the point of crying out - since no one would have been around to hear him? - Jessica>> How is it possible for a terrible thing like an assassination to happen to a God fearing man when scripture says, “no weapon formed against us shall prosper?”
