198: Divine Energies: The Mother & Father Frequencies Channeled | Valerie Wood
The divine masculine and divine feminine are two expressions of one Creator, and according to Valerie Wood, they were never meant to compete. On episode 198 of Mystical Sisterhood®, Valerie shares how The Father energy arrived during an energy healing session in September 2024 with three words: let me in. If you are the strong one, the one who gives and gives as a daughter, mother, wife, or friend, this conversation is for you. When you stay stuck in the giving loop, you get tired, then burnt out, then resentful. That is not a flaw in you. It is a polarity asking for harmony. Maureen Spielman, a Spiritual Life Coach trained in Spiritual Psychology, welcomes back Valerie Wood, an intuitive, angel channel, and medium who has channeled Archangel Michael for two decades. Valerie explains why the Mother and Father speak of harmony, not balance, and how the Vesica Pisces, two circles overlapping, shows the space where giving and receiving meet. Then she channels the Divine Father and Divine Mother live. You will hear a simple daily acknowledgement practice, why a love letter to yourself counts as receiving, and the reminder at the heart of it all: the giver is not required to give. It chooses to give. What you’ll learn in this episode: Divine masculine and divine feminine, and why the Mother and Father describe Creator as one circle that duplicates into both energies so we can understand source through polarity. Harmony versus balance, and why the Mother and Father say you do not need a 50/50 split between giving and receiving, just a fluid return to harmony with your own spirit. The giving loop, and how to spot when service has turned into exhaustion, burnout, resentment, and sarcasm, so you know it is time to slide into receiving. How to receive when you are a natural giver, from a walk, a dance break, or ordering dinner in to writing a love letter to yourself and actually taking in the words. The I and the we, and why harmony starts within you, then ripples out through your children, your community, and the collective consciousness. Why the Divine Father does not judge, and how to meet your own judgment with grace when you only took five minutes to receive instead of a whole day. How the divine masculine and divine feminine are integrating right now, with women stepping into their divine masculine and younger men embracing empathy and caregiving. 197: Invisible in Midlife? Not Anymore | Maureen Spielman
Invisible woman syndrome is the belief that women fade from view as they age, and Maureen Spielman is witnessing the opposite. On episode 197 of Mystical Sisterhood®, Maureen explores women and visibility across every age and stage, from your 20s to your 70s. If you have ever felt unseen at work, in your family, or in your own body, you are not alone, and you are not stuck there. Women everywhere are speaking up, creating, healing, and refusing to shrink. This is not just a moment. It is a movement. Maureen Spielman is a Spiritual Life Coach trained in Spiritual Psychology and the host of Mystical Sisterhood®, where she has interviewed nearly 150 guests. In this solo episode, she shares four ways women are becoming more visible right now: vocal visibility, creative visibility, emotional and internal visibility, and visibility in aging. You will hear why Julia Louis-Dreyfus's podcast Wiser Than Me struck a chord with so many listeners, why self-care is no longer seen as selfish, and what Maureen means by embodied sisterhood. She also reflects on her mother's story and the healing tools her generation never had. You are visible. You are bright. There is room for all of us. What you’ll learn in this episode: Invisible woman syndrome, and why Maureen Spielman sees women stepping forward instead of shrinking, whether you are in your 20s, your later 50s, or well beyond. Vocal visibility, including how women are using their voices on podcasts, in their relationships, and through writing on platforms like Substack to say what they truly want. Creative visibility, and why claiming authorship of your own body of work, from a product to a women's group to a podcast, is a powerful way to be seen. Emotional and internal visibility, and how inner child work, reparenting, and understanding your nervous system help you release old roles like the people pleaser and the over-giver. Visibility in aging, and why women in their 50s, 60s, and 70s are moving past invisible woman syndrome by rejecting the cultural push to fade, without trying to act younger. Embodied sisterhood, Maureen's name for women showing up for one another in supportive and loving ways, and the simple action you can take today to practice it. We talk about: 00:00 Why women are more visible than ever 02:36 What is embodied sisterhood 05:05 The Invisibility of Older Women article that sparked this episode 08:47 Showing up in a story you never expected 09:32 Is invisible woman syndrome only about aging 11:13 Vocal visibility on podcasts, in relationships, and on Substack 12:52 Creative visibility and owning your body of work 14:05 Emotional visibility and doing the deeper inner work 16:55 Visibility in aging and resisting the cultural push to fade 18:40 What my mother's story taught me about healing 21:42 How do you feel seen after imposter syndrome and self-doubt 24:12 Embodied sisterhood and telling a woman what you see in her Resources mentioned in this episode: One-on-One Coaching: Schedule a Discovery Call Here Mystical Sisterhood® Resource Guide: https://www.maureenspielman.com/freebies About the Host: Maureen Spielman is the Founder of Mystical Sisterhood®, a podcast dedicated to bringing more joy, healing and expansion of consciousness to the world. 196: Mystical Sisterhood Roundtable: A Discussion of Spirituality, Collaboration, and Trust | REPLAY
In this episode of the Mystical Sisterhood podcast, Alicia Isaacs Howes, Valerie Wood, and Heather Hansen join me to explore the intricacies of spirituality, healing, and trust. We get into the fascinating world of human and mystic recollections, and discuss our journeys toward enlightenment. Several topics are discussed during the roundtable discussion, from the importance of discerning truth from fiction to navigating our past and future spiritual lives. We delve into the importance of collaboration instead of competition and the roles they each play in the collective spiritual ascension. The guests collectively affirm the importance of utilizing curiosity as a medium to navigate complicated feelings. Duality, wonder, and faith become recurring themes. It's a conversation that guards the mystery of the divine and nourishes listeners with the wonders of spirituality. The guests share a common belief - the importance of self-discovery and faith. Valerie emphasizes the power of transformation, aligning our desires with the greater good and involving others in our growth process. Likewise, Heather asserts that the conception of mystic lies in incorporating the Divine into our everyday lives, thus realizing oneself as a channel or conduit for the divine connection. As our unique lives intertwine in this collective consciousness, the roundtable participants conclude that we must hold both our individual experiences and our shared societal ones. This paradox of existence is what allows us to resonate with the concept of ‘mystical sisterhood,’ an acknowledgment of both the collective and the individual's power. We offer a simple yet profound take-home: the power in your authenticity and in standing firm amidst societal norms. It encourages listeners to embrace the discomfort of growth, believing that the process, no matter how grueling, is liberating. We help you embrace and understand the realms of spirituality, healing, and trust, teaching us that we are all interlaced together, threading our unique stories of spiritual explorations, and knitting ourselves into a tapestry of mystical sisterhood. 195: Reclaiming Creativity in Midlife: It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again | Maureen Spielman
What if you are far more creative than you have ever allowed yourself to believe? In this solo episode of Mystical Sisterhood®, Maureen Spielman explores how childhood experiences, comparison, family roles, school environments, and early criticism can shape the stories we carry about our creativity. When we are told, directly or indirectly, that we are not artistic, talented, intelligent, or imaginative, those labels can quietly follow us into adulthood. But those old beliefs do not have to write the rest of our story. Maureen shares her experience of joining a watercolor class in her late 50s after spending much of her life believing she was not an artist. From confronting her inner critic to displaying her work beside more experienced painters, the class became a living experiment in self-acceptance, creative courage, and allowing something to be valuable simply because it came from her. She also reflects on the artistic legacy of her father, who began painting around age 70, and the deeper meaning of using the art supplies he left behind. His willingness to keep exploring, creating, and beginning again became a reminder that creativity has no expiration date. This conversation invites you to question the identities you inherited, recognize the many ways creativity already moves through your life, and follow the interests calling you forward. Whether your expression takes the form of painting, cooking, movement, conversation, entrepreneurship, relationships, or something entirely your own, it matters. You do not need to be the best in the room. You only need to give yourself permission to enter it. What you’ll learn in this episode: How childhood conditioning can shape your creative identity Why believing “I’m not creative” may be an inherited story rather than the truth How comparison and criticism create lasting artistic wounds Why creativity includes far more than traditional art forms How midlife can become a season of reclamation, reinvention, and rebirth What Maureen discovered after joining her first watercolor class How creative spaces can help you notice and transform your inner critic Why self-acceptance changes the experience of trying something unfamiliar What Maureen learned from her father beginning to paint around age 70 How hands-on creativity can help us reconnect beyond phones and technology Why making your own rules creates room for authentic self-expression How intuition can guide you toward the next version of yourself We talk about: 00:00 Are you more creative than you believe? 01:24 Reclaiming creativity and identity in midlife 02:29 Looking beyond the stories of your past 03:44 Rediscovering your innate creativity, intelligence, and intuition 05:10 Why we are craving creativity beyond our screens 06:33 Maureen’s decision to begin watercolor painting 07:08 How comparison can create artistic wounds 09:08 The college creation that reinforced “I’m not an artist” 11:15 Questioning the identities and labels we inherited 12:44 Beginning again and creating at any age 13:31 Honouring her father through his art supplies 15:00 Entering the watercolor classroom with a new mindset 16:03 Responding differently to the inner critic 17:02 Learning to receive feedback without abandoning yourself 18:34 Why being a beginner can rewrite your story 20:00 Creating a life you love through daily expression 21:01 Questions to awaken your creativity and intuition 22:18 Making your own rules and colouring outside the lines Resources mentioned in this episode: One-on-One Coaching: Schedule a Discovery Call Here Mystical Sisterhood® Resource Guide: https://www.maureenspielman.com/freebies About the Host: Maureen Spielman is the Founder of Mystical Sisterhood®, a podcast dedicated to bringing more joy, healing and expansion of consciousness to the world. 194: When Hair Becomes Ceremony: Jade Atia on Beauty, Energy, and Awakening
What if getting your hair done could support something deeper than changing how you look? In this episode of Mystical Sisterhood®, Maureen Spielman welcomes visionary hair artist Jade Atia to explore holistic hairdressing, ceremonial haircuts, kundalini activation, and the connection between beauty, energy, and consciousness. After more than 26 years in the hair industry, Jade began transforming the traditional salon experience into a sacred, intentional space. Through Crown Alchemy and Shekinah Temple, she integrates natural hair care, crystal comb rituals, tuning forks, vibroacoustic sound therapy, intuitive consultations, and energetic practices designed to help clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and honour meaningful transitions. Jade also shares the deeply personal journey behind her work. Following years of motherhood, business growth, relentless responsibility, and five renovations in two and a half years, her body finally asked her to stop. What initially felt like a breakdown became a breaking open, leading her toward nervous system support, somatic healing, spiritual awakening, and eventually, kundalini activation. This conversation is an invitation to move beyond rushing, trust the visions arriving through you, and allow your next chapter to unfold in its own divine timing. What you’ll learn in this episode: Why Jade believes beauty begins within rather than with outward appearance How burnout and a personal breakdown became an initiation into deeper healing What Jade experienced during her kundalini awakening How somatic practices and nervous system support helped her begin rebuilding What happens during a ceremonial haircut and crown activation How crystal combs, tuning forks, touch, flowers, and sound frequencies can become part of a hair ritual Why cutting your hair can symbolize release, transformation, and a new rite of passage How hair colour may reflect the energy or qualities you are ready to embody Why hairstylists can become emotionally and energetically depleted by their work How energetic boundaries may help stylists recognize what belongs to them We talk about: 00:00 Can a salon visit become a deeply healing experience? 03:36 Jade’s connection to nature, creativity, and the Divine Mother 06:14 Finding freedom and purpose through hairdressing 08:00 Creating a low-tox home salon while becoming a mother 11:59 The vision for bringing hair, beauty, and wellness together 17:02 The workload that led to Jade’s breakdown and initiation 25:07 Recalibrating her nervous system after burnout 28:04 The spiritual opening that became a kundalini awakening 32:50 Bringing ritual, sound, and energy work into hair services 34:32 How a ceremonial haircut honours transformation 36:30 Why salon appointments can become intentional self-care 39:26 The energetic meaning Jade associates with hair colour 41:17 Understanding higher heart consciousness 43:49 Why hairstylists need energetic awareness and boundaries 47:24 Trusting your vision and allowing divine timing to lead Resources mentioned in this episode: One-on-One Coaching: Schedule a Discovery Call Here Mystical Sisterhood® Resource Guide: https://www.maureenspielman.com/freebies About the Host: Maureen Spielman is the Founder of Mystical Sisterhood®, a podcast dedicated to bringing more joy, healing and expansion of consciousness to the world.
