Who's Knocking On My Door?

My oldest has gone through many different hyper-fixations when it comes to her childhood.. like eating chicken nuggets for 6 years but no one prepares you when the hyper fixations finally come to an end. My oldest feel in love with Sonic the hedgehog at age 3 and ever since we have been dedicated loyal fans obsessing over everything, we can get our hands on and watch for the last 4 years. Now that she is becoming older and maturing, she finally sat us down and told us it was time to let sonic go. I bawled my eyes out taking one poster at a time off each wall and packing all the stuffies she once would line up to make her own &quot;youtube videos&quot; like all the collectors do.Listen in as I share why this hit me hard and where do we go from here.Thanks for Listening! As babies it teaches us that there are other people in this world besides mom and dad. It teaches us boundaries and how to share. When we grow older friendships make us realize there are others out there with similar commonalities.  As teens friendships are were we stop seeking validation from home and find it in others. As young adults it teaches us who we need in our lives and who we may need to leave in the past and as an older adult it makes us realize how we get to be picky who we call friends. Life has given me many different friendships and I share what I learned, gained and left behind in each one of those pivotal friendships.Thanks for Listening!
