Israel's ambassador to Australia has been called in to meet Australian officials, after an Israeli minister taunted detained activists.
National security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir posted a video online taunting activists kneeling with their hands tied behind their backs, after an aid flotilla for Gaza was intercepted by Israeli forces.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong has condemned the actions.
11 Australians are among the detainees, but it's unclear if they feature in the video.
Ambassador Hillel Newman has urged the Israeli government to release the detained activists.
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has proposed a new blanket tax on the oil and gas industry.
She says a One Nation government would offer a 30 per cent tax rebate on exploration, in exchange for the option of taking a 30 per cent equity share in the value of any gas found and then extracted.
Senator Hanson also says One Nation would abolish the existing Petroleum Resources Rent Tax and replace it with a Commonwealth royalty.
Queensland's Olympics Minister Tim Mander has stood aside from cabinet after he was referred to police by the Australian Electoral Commission, amid questions about his enrolment status.
Mr Mander says he's "standing aside" while the matter is sorted.
