With the Concacaf Nations League fresh on our minds, I thought it would be a good time to take a big picture look at the competition and the region as a whole. So on today’s show we’re going to discuss the value of Nations League, who are some countries that have benefited from it, and what are some of the latest trends happening throughout the Concacaf region.
To help me do that, I’ve invited Jon Arnold to join the show. Jon is the creator of Getting CONCACAFed, a newsletter featuring reported stories, features, and opinion on soccer in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. He’s covered Concacaf for around a decade. You can follow Jon on TikTok at: @jonarnoldfc

The U.S. went down to Jamaica in the first leg and won 1-0 and then played the second leg in St. Louis on Monday night, winning 4-2. The 5-2 aggregate score moves them into the Nations League semifinals in March against an opponent yet to be determined.
To help me today, I’ve invited Charles Boehm to join the show. Charles is a Washington, DC-based writer and editor who has covered all levels of the American soccer scene since 2004.
