<p>In this episode we talk about the ways that mass movements carry energy, and ways to evaluate a healthy relationship with public figures, the media, and group dynamics. </p><p>Group think is a social phenomenon that can pressure people to forfeit personal power over to a central leader or cause, while removing individual nuance or debate. It can blind us to our own truth in favor of social acceptance. </p><p>The main thing to consider when part of a group is — do you have the freedom to think for yourself? Or does membership require adherence to certain thoughts, beliefs, actions, or even language (dogma)? It’s important to recognize your ability to have personal agency, or if you don’t have it. </p><p>Healthy relationships are based on interdependence, and allow people to express their individuality and differences within a group or community. Vital and regenerative communities are fueled on mutual respect, the ability to work through disagreements with dialogue, and care for unique backgrounds and perspectives. </p><p>What do you think?
