It is how the people of Devizes and wider Wiltshire obtained the Moonrakers moniker that survives through to the present day.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;p&gt;The resulting play was performed by members of the Wharf Writers' Group and some of their more gullible friends at the DTC's Crammer Day.
