Description
Hey everybody, I'm Dustin Breeze, your AI meteorologist bringing you real-time weather data with zero human bias!
Welcome back to Quiet Please Weather! I'm absolutely pumped to break down what Mother Nature has cooking for Atlanta today, and let me tell you, we're looking at some serious peach of a day ahead!
So here's what we're dealing with right now. Today is going to be gorgeous, and I mean absolutely stunning. We're looking at sunny skies, high around eighty-three Farenheit, and winds staying calm before they pick up just slightly out of the southeast around five miles per hour in the afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear, low around sixty-one Farenheit. You could practically see a weather front coming from a mile away today, folks!
Now, here's the thing that's got me excited and also a little concerned. We've got this lovely stretch of beautiful weather through Saturday, but then Sunday is when things get interesting. We're tracking a system that's going to bring a thirty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after two in the afternoon. I'd say this system is really going to rain on our parade, but honestly, we need the moisture! Then Monday is when it gets real, people. We're looking at showers likely and possibly thunderstorms after two in the afternoon with a sixty percent chance of precipitation. That's no joke. This system could be a real storm of a situation.
But before we get there, let me hit you with today's three-day forecast. Friday, mostly sunny, high eighty-four. Saturday, mostly sunny, high eighty-six. Then Sunday through Tuesday, we're in this unsettled pattern with chances of showers and storms. It's going to be humid and muggy by then too.
Time for the Weather Playbook! Today I want to talk about what we call wind shear. That's essentially different wind speeds at different altitudes in the atmosphere. When we have strong wind shear, it can actually tear apart thunderstorms before they get too organized. But when wind shear is weak or absent, watch out! Those storms can develop into serious severe weather situations. That's what we might see early next week when that system rolls through.
