Description
The Royal Commission into the Bondi Beach Massacre has released its first report, recommending increased police deployment at Jewish events and a comprehensive review of intelligence and counter-terrorism capabilities. The report found no legal gaps that prevented agencies from responding to the attack, but identified areas where counter-terrorism capability could be improved at both Commonwealth and state levels. Fourteen recommendations were made, including enhanced police security for high-risk Jewish events, counter-terrorism training for the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers, and a national firearm buyback scheme.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
