In North Carolina, the death toll has risen to 95 from Hurricane Helene. The largest number of deaths – 42 – comes from Buncombe County, one of the hardest hit counties in Western North Carolina. 
  
FEMA Workers Threatened In NC
In some cases, people in North Carolina who are desperately needing help are not getting it, because they are telling those who want to help them to leave. Correspondent Lisa Dwyer reports that FEMA workers had to change how they were operating in North Carolina after receiving death threats at a time of heightened disinformation about relief efforts.
