Nintendo HQ just got hit with mailed bomb threats from some 27-year-old unemployed clown in Japan -- the guy sent letters starting back in March claiming he planted multiple bombs and straight-up wrote "I'm going to blow you all up" plus "my plans cannot be thwarted" like he was auditioning for a bad action movie. Kyoto cops arrested him May 12 on business disruption charges, no actual explosives were ever found, and he already admitted everything -- yeah another day in the life of a "fan" who apparently lost too many Splatoon matches and decided the Mario factory had to pay.

It's a me! Methio! This is straight-up wild -- a New Haven drug dealer named Ronnell Rogers just got slammed with six years in federal prison because cops pulled him over and found his stash packed with fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and meth pills molded exactly like Super Mario's head, mustache, eyebrows and all. Yeah the same Nintendo icon kids grew up collecting is now being shaped into candy-looking dope that could fool a toddler -- Rogers was already on supervised release from a prior conviction so this was strike three and the judge wasn't playing, proving once again that even the Mushroom Kingdom can't save you when you're slinging cartoon drugs on the street.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has already been 'decanonized' by fans on X. And so many people had already forgotten about this Disney dud that saying you didn't consider it canon was Trending. Not a good day for Lucasfilm. This is after Mando and Grogu got pummeled on Rotten Tomatoes. Let's talk about when fandom has to decide for itself when something is or isn't canon.

James Gunn Supergirl promotion has begun, and they're already doing damage control and blaming "toxic fandom" going after Millie Alcock. This isn't going to help get butts in seats. RIP podcasters? Amazon wants to replace human podcasters with AI, and they're working with mainstream news outlets including The New York Times, Reuters, and the Associated Press. The AI will literally just spin up news podcasts ala carte. So does that mean Joe Rogan and all these Hollywood celebrities rushing into the podcast space are out of luck? Probably not. But smaller podcasters probably will be.
