<p>Last February 22nd, the presumed leader of the Jalisco Cartel New Generation, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho was killed in an operation led by the army, which resulted in a widespread burst of violence from the cartel that we’ve never seen before.</p><p>This was nothing new for Mexico’s criminal landscape.
