The Axolotl is a salamander native to Lake Xochimilco. It's different than other amphibians because it reaches adulthood without undergoing metamorphosis. But the coolest thing about the Axolotl might be their ability to regenerate. According to legend, the Axolotl wasa created from the God, Xolotl.
