En aquest capítol ens endinsem en dos relats breus i enigmàtics de H. P. Lovecraft: "El clergue malvat" (The Evil Clergyman) i "El llibre" (The Book). Dues peces fragmentàries, plenes d'atmosfera i misteri, que ens obrin les portes a l'univers més oníric i espectral del mestre de Providence. Comentem les particularitats de cada text, el context en què foren escrits, les versions postumes que ens han arribat i el seu vincle amb altres obres del Mythos. També parlem del procés de reconstrucció editorial que han patit aquests relats i de les ombres que envolten la seua autoria definitiva.
