88. Police Walked In on a Mass Possession [Miami Aerospace Academy]
On October 25th, 1979, Miami police and firefighters walked into the Miami Aerospace Academy in Little Havana and found hundreds of cadets in full panic. A 13-year-old girl rigid and sobbing that "the devil is inside of me," other pupils growling and twitching, a boy who crashed through a second-floor window and got straight back up, classroom doors torn from hinges, and teachers unable to hold order. The next day The Miami News ran it front-page as "Ouija Riot Baffles Police!" I'm Peter Laws and this is Into the Fog. In this episode I investigate what really happened at the Miami Aerospace Academy in Miami, Florida, drawing on testimony from biology teacher Patricia Murphy, former Miami police sergeant Lynne Brookes, deputy fire chief Frank Rollason, officer Harry Cunnill, Lt. Dan LeMay, principal Evaristo Marina, and WCKT-Channel 7 camerawoman Beverly Bryan, plus the Santeria offerings found on campus, the cursed F84 jet, and the debate over mass hysteria vs something darker. This is a true paranormal story, never fictionalised, with real witnesses on the record. Let me know in the comments… what do YOU think happened in that school that day? Want even more Into the Fog? 86. News Crew Caught a Poltergeist on Camera [Beauport, 1989]
Was a poltergeist caught on camera by a Canadian news crew? Summer, 1989. In Beauport, Quebec, an entire apartment building on Mgr-Gauthier Street came alive, violent banging that shook partition walls, ragged holes punched through plasterboard in real time, and dark shadows at the edge of vision. Witnesses weren't just tenants. Police officers, gas engineers and city inspectors all felt it. In this true ghost story, I investigate the Beauport Poltergeist, the TVA footage from August 4th 1989, what Lt. Guy Bedard and Inspector Gaston Dubé experienced, why gas, clay soil and plumbing theories failed, and the two chilling triggers: reported seances after a death downstairs, and 12-year-old Zoe's summer stay. This is a documented poltergeist true story, never fictionalised, told from contemporary press and investigator notes. Have a genuine experience to share? 85. They Found Crucifixes Hidden Under the Carpet [Jinn Encounter] EMBERS
Her father called an imam to perform an Islamic exorcism on their house. Then builders found crucifixes hidden under the carpet. Welcome to Into the Fog Embers, my companion series for case updates and shorter true paranormal accounts that deserve telling, even when they're not full-length documentaries. Tonight's Embers comes from Zaynab, one of my Patreon supporters. When she was 8, her family moved into a house with a granny flat in the garden that had stood empty for a long time. She began seeing faceless figures, an elderly man in an armchair, a figure striding toward her in the garden, later a faceless child in her bedroom. The atmosphere turned cold and silent, like stepping underwater. Her father asked a local imam to perform an Islamic exorcism. As he recited, Zaynab began shaking uncontrollably, filled with anger and an urge to make him stop. Months later, builders lifting the carpets found several crucifixes hidden underneath. Had the previous owners, an elderly Irish Catholic couple, also experienced the paranormal in that property? I'd especially love to hear from Muslim viewers, does this fit with your understanding of jinn? IMPORTANT: Into the Fog welcomes people of all faiths and none. So just because this story features two religions (Islam and Christianity), please don't use that as a springboard to attack one faith or the other. Respect for fellow viewers is an important part of the Into the Fog community. Do you have a genuine experience to share? You can tell us about it here:https://bit.ly/ITF-YourStory Editor Kristian Lander Artwork Steph Lay and Kristian Lander With warm thanks to Zaynab for sharing her vivid and deeply unsettling childhood experiences, and for offering such a personal perspective on the possible role of djinn and Islamic exorcism. 84. The Airmen Made a Pact to Never Tell [Keesler Air Force Base]
Three airmen were ordered to guard the Triangle at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi in 1980. What they saw, shook them enough to make a pact. For decades they stayed silent, fearing ridicule and damage to their careers. Until now. This is the true testimony from Kris Maddalena's The 13th Squadron. For the first time, Kris tells what happened inside the supposedly empty dormitories: the wardrobe painted black inside and carved with an inverted pentagram, the 1 AM scream that returned like clockwork, chanting from inside the walls, the mysterious fire breakout at a heavy metal concert on base, and the pale figure with a butcher knife that stood beside his bed. Locals have long whispered about everything from Satanic activity to UAP sightings along the Gulf Coast (the The Pascagoula alien abduction happened nearby, and the experiencers were examined on this very base). Yet what happened in the Triangle to these three Airmen is a frightening yet untold mystery. A huge thank-you to Kris Maddalena for trusting us with his story, sharing his memories (including having President Donald Trump as his landlord at Trump Towers, New York) and photographs, and also for being so generous with his time while we put this episode together. If you’d like to read the full story of Kris’s experiences at Keesler, do check out his book, The 13th Squadron: Unexplained Activity Inside the Keesler Air Force Base Triangle.
