Hosted by Hooked On Horror's own Adam Williams and Mike Murphy, this six-episode podcast series takes a look back on the incredibly rich history of Hammer Films. Each episode will pull focus to a pinnacle film that helped turn Hammer Films into a household name, and shape the horror genre into what it is today.

Each episode features a walkthrough of our chosen film complete with background on both Hammer Films and the film itself , contextualised history, behind the scenes stories and facts, our own experiences and a few choice pop culture references. This is made for old and new Hammer Horror fans alike.

This is made for old and new Hammer Horror fans alike.</p><p>And for <strong>Episode Six </strong>we will be looking at Hammer Films' 1962 adaptation of the classic Phantom of the Opera.</p><p>"The corrupt Lord Ambrose D'Arcy (Michael Gough) steals the life's work of the poor composer Professor L. Petrie. (Herbert Lom). In an attempt to stop the printing of music with D'Arcy's name on it, Petrie breaks into the printing office and accidentally starts a fire, leaving him severely disfigured. Years later, Petrie returns to terrorize a London opera house that is about to perform one of his stolen operas."</p><p>Directed by Terence Fisher, written by Anthony Hinds &amp; Gaston Leroux, who wrote the original novella.
