Thank you Chelly!</p><p><br></p><p><a href=' https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Simeon+Stylites+&title=Special%3AMediaSearch&type=image'><b>Saint Simeon Stylites</b></a> (circa 390–459 AD), the famous Syrian Christian ascetic who lived for 37 years atop a pillar. </p><p>He pioneered a unique form of asceticism known as the <i>stylites</i> (from the Greek word <i>stylos</i>, meaning "pillar").
