Early tests point to highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5). Risk to the public is low, but residents are urged not to handle sick or dead birds and to protect backyard flocks.<br /><br /></li><li><strong>Miami Township zoning</strong>: Jan. 8 meeting at the Civic Center to consider rezoning land behind 1804 SR 131 from planned industrial park to residential.
