Under the full moon at the Rainbow Gathering, Jonny faces his season-long antagonist: himself. What begins with talismans from the road (the soldier card, a foam tooth, a charcoal portrait) builds to a firelit rite where he chooses to dance, plunges into the lake, and is pulled into a circling, drum-driven whirlwind of memory: Taz at the piano, Syd on the plane, Hande’s unflinching gaze. For a breath he becomes “no one,” judgment drops, and belonging replaces distance. By sunrise, among ashes and a lone Czech dancer still moving, Jonny understands the cost and gift of letting go, and says yes to going further.

In Gate to the Rainbow, Jonny leaves the city behind and climbs into the mountains on a search for the hidden Rainbow Gathering. The path narrows, the rain closes in, and every step feels like crossing deeper into another world. What begins as a hopeful trek turns into a threshold moment, part trial, part initiation, as Jonny confronts both the wilderness and the weight of what lies ahead.

Jonny breaks his solo streak as he sprints south toward a full-moon gathering in Macedonia. After landing in Belgrade, he falls into an easy, platonic rhythm with Beyza, a soft-spoken Turkish MD, and the two decide to hitchhike together to Skopje. The road answers with set pieces worthy of a fable: a ride in a brand-new ambulance, a Macedonian traffic-cop instructor who forbids seatbelts and leaves the car rolling backward, and a night with a kind, chaotic host, an “ogre” in his cave, whose attic refuge becomes their fort. Along the way Jonny tests what changes when travel becomes us instead of me: the risk, the laughter, and the unexpected sense of safety. As the moon swells, they part ways, Beyza north, Jonny into the woods, on the edge of whatever opens next.

In this episode, Jonny returns to spend luminous days with friends Weronika and Tomasz before their paths diverge—toward work, study, and, for Tomasz, an uncertain future. What follows is a layered narrative of car rides, laughter, and small rituals intercut with Weronika’s later account of Tomasz’s unraveling in Kraków. The story moves between memory and aftermath, grappling with the paradox of a brilliant but unfinished life, and asking what remains when a journey ends abruptly.
