Four men carried their sick friend on a stretcher to see Jesus, but the crowd blocked the doorway. Refusing to give up, they climbed onto the roof, tore it open, and lowered their friend right in front of Him. Jesus looked up at their faith, then turned to the sick man and said, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ The religious leaders protested, questioning His authority. Jesus asked, ‘Which is easier—to say, your sins are forgiven, or to say, Get up and walk?’ Jesus is both Saviour and Healer. Forgiveness and healing belong to Him.
