disinvolta manomissione del soggetto. Il protagonista è
tale che 'per biltà e ardire, si fottea di Lanciallotto e
Tristano e Ivano e Percevale messi inseme, e quant altri
s'avessi la terra di Bretagna'. Una giovinezza solare, una
vita piena e consapevole, celata e dispiegata nell'enigma
di un sorriso. E ignara di altri enigmi: alchemici, edipici,
graalici. Essa è canto e sorgiva, enunciazione, o piuttosto
annuncio di se stessa, stupore e godimento del proprio
mistero. La storia ci riporta al medioevo, al suo incanto
più che agli incantesimi, di cui abbiamo tanto bisogno - e
le mode lo avvertono - in quest'orgia di postmoderno che
si presenta come
il 'grado Xeros della cultura'
(Baudrillard). In tale contesto la scelta della lingua
credibilmente trecentesca, era quasi un obbligo. Ma è
sicuramente un rischio: puo costituire un ostacolo oppure
un elemento di piacevolezza nella lettura. Diciamo: un
optional compreso nel prezzo del divertimento. L'autore è
vivente, ma questo non è necessariamente un pericolo
per le patrie lettere, che ne corrono di più
seni.
L'appellativo
'da Barberino' non vuole essere
suna
usurpazione indebita ma un atto morale, in quanto rende
giustizia al modello (ad Andrea, insomma, quello che è di
Andrea), ed estetico, in quanto procede per via mimetica
verso il vanishing point dell'autore: una raffinatezza, non
c'è che dire. Salvo vederlo poi ammiccare da ogni
