This ideas was sparked from playing at Eight & Sand, an all Memphis based music bar and lounge in the Central Station hotel here in Memphis, TN. Every track on this mix is somehow tied back to Memphis or the near by area in some way. Memphis has some of the most talented artist in music from the past to present. Hip Hop has always sampled Memphis artist, because Memphis soul has a unique sound that people search for. Here are just a few of my favorites. Enjoy.
